'Doctor Who' Season 8 Episode 3 'Robot of Sherwood' Robin Hood Featured in New Trailer, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"Doctor Who" Season 8 is underway and the upcoming episode no. 3 titled "Robot of Sherwood" has released a teaser trailer for the fans.
Official "Robot of Sherwood" synopsis: In a sun-dappled Sherwood forest, the Doctor (Capaldi) discovers an evil plan from beyond the stars and strikes up an unlikely alliance with Robin Hood. With all of Nottingham at stake, the Doctor must decide who is real and who is fake. Can impossible heroes really exist?
"Doctor Who" stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman.
The Doctor is an alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels through all of time and space in his TARDIS. His current travel companion is Clara Oswald, though he has a long list of friends and companions who have shared journeys with him. Instead of dying, the Doctor is able to "regenerate" into a new body, taking on a new personality with each regeneration. Eleven actors, plus John Hurt, have played the Doctor thus far.
"Robot of Sherwood" episode airs Saturday, September 6th at 9pm on BBC America.
"Doctor Who" originally began airing on the BBC in 1963 and the last series reboot began in 2005. The programme depicts the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord-a time-travelling humanoid alien. He explores the universe in his TARDIS, a sentient time-travelling space ship. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Along with a succession of companions, the Doctor faces a variety of foes while working to save civilisations, help ordinary people, and right wrongs.
