'Arrow' Season 3 CW Release Date 2014, Spoilers, Oliver & Felicity Show Chemistry in New Trailer, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"Arrow" Season 3 of the CW released a new trailer that show Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) getting close and Arrow chastising an unseen person saying, "You have failed this city."
"It's not a fake-out," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told EW. "Felicity and Oliver actually have a pretty raw discussion about what they mean to each other, which we're really excited about, and it's an extension of what happened at the end of last year."
"Arrow" Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on October 8th on CW network.
Well Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had some interesting things to say about the upcoming season. He spoke about casting Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, and the chemistry a key character.
"[Brandon] actually did a chemistry test with Emily and we didn't have any doubt [before], but when everyone saw that, the two of them just jumped off the screen together. It's funny because we had a picture of Stephen, Stephen's headshot, and we had Emily's headshot, and there was a blank on the board. Once you put Brandon's up there, you're like, 'Oh yeah, these are two guys.' said Kreisberg.
So that could be a spoiler that things won't go so smoothly with Oliver Felicity's relationship. We will have to wait and find out!
The cast of "Arrow" was on hand at the Night of DC Entertainment event on Saturday (July 26) at Comic-Con 2014. They showed a trailer for Season 3 that revealed some a bad character for the upcoming season: Ra's al Ghul. You can watch the trailer above.
"Arrow" Season 3 is coming to the CW this Fall and new cast additions are surfacing. They released the first promo photo, made public by Entertainment Weekly, of Colton Hayes in his superhero Arsenal character outfit. Hayes will play Roy Harper, who eventually becomes a side-kick to Green Arrow named Arsenal (formerly named Speedy in the comic books). There is a strong resemblance to Arrow's look but swapped out red for green.
Also, TVLine.com reported that Brandon Routh had been added to the cast for Season 3 at Ray Palmer / The Atom! They state, "An unparalleled scientist and inventor, Ray will play an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and (rumored love interest) Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) as the new owner of Queen Consolidated. Palmer's plans for Queen Consolidated's Applied Sciences Division will be shrouded in mystery."
Season 3 of "Arrow" will return John Barrowman as a regular character, after finding out Thea Queen was in fact his biologicial daughter in Season 2. The producers of the show will be adding more flashback sequences to explains how Oliver became the Green Arrow in Season 3. Stephen Amell said that the Season 3 flashbacks will take place in Hong Kong. In the Season 2 finale flashback scene, Oliver wakes up in a Hong Kong and finds himself under the 'care' of the A.R.G.U.S. spy agency. Oliver then begins to receive training under Toshi, a highly-trained government operative and devoted family man. Toshi's wife Akiko is implied as being Oliver's caretaker.
Brandon Routh is best known for playing Clark Kent/Superman in 2006's Superman Returns. For this role he was nominated for several awards including Empire Award for Best Male Newcomer, Saturn Award for Best Actor, Scream Award for Breakout Performance and Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout Male.
