In the previous season, Dascha Polanco who plays Daya was pregnant with a prison guard, Matt McGorry who plays Bennett's baby. It was rumored that she would give birth in the third season of "Orange is the new Black". The actress revealed that the upcoming season will feature the back story of Daya. She will be suffering from a hormonal imbalance brought about by the pregnancy she had. Her belly is growing bigger and bigger and she is also becoming more mature. It is not yet confirmed whether she will give birth in the upcoming season but it is probable that the season could start with a slight time jump.

In the first season of the series, we see Daya's past life with flashbacks on how she suffered living with her mother Aleida. At the end of the second season, we see Bennet confessing to Nick Sandow who plays Caputo that Daya is pregnant with his baby. The actress, Natasha Lyonne, said that the upcoming season of 'Orange Is The New Black' will bring forth more bloodshed. However, she did not specify what the cause of the bloodshed would be. It could be a big fight in the prison maybe. The bloodshed could have been caused by the show's protagonist, Piper Champman and his partner Alex Vause.

Reports say that the filming of the third season of 'Orange is The New Black' has already started. It is not surprising that the series has been renewed for another season which could be as a result of the high ratings of the series. More to the high ratings, the Netflix series garnered 12 Emmy nominations. According to the previous releases from Netflix the 'Orange Is The New Black' season 3 could be released in June 2015.

According to a report by Hollywood Reporter, the comedian Mike Birbiglia is the latest addition of the growing cast. The fans can watch the first and second seasons of the series as they await the release of the third season.
