Hannibal Season 3 Spoilers, Reviews and Plot Rumors: Show Runner Bryan Fuller Indicates a Time Jump Plot for Season 3
The third installment of Hannibal is slated to return during the first half of 2015. During the last season finale of Hannibal, Dr. Lecter proved to be quite destructive. He slashed the throats of Abigail Hobbes and Will Graham but we all know that Will is going to survive somehow. Meanwhile Dr. Alana was pushed through a window. As for Jack Crawford we saw the cataclysmic fight that he won narrowly therefore, the fates of Crawford are also tied in with the rest of the major players. The show runner Bryan Fuller, disclosed at the San Diego Comic Con that the characters that we feared dead would be coming back for the next installment of the series. Apparently, there will be a one year time jump from the season 2 finale in the third season as it begins.
During this time, Drs, Frederick Chilton and Abel Gideon as well as Bedelia Du Maurier will make an appearance for the third season. In fact even Lawrence Fishburne has confirmed that he will be coming back for the third season. During this time, the murder of the week which follows Lecter's perversion of the killings will not be there. Instead the full priority of the show seems focused upon hunting down Hannibal. The executive producer also implied that they plan to introduce some of the plot from the "Hannibal," "Hannibal Rising" and "Red Dragon.
There may also be other aspects to the personality of Dr. Hannibal Lecter that we have not fully explored within the show. For example, the actual sexuality of Hannibal within the show has not been defined as such. There was a time that Hannibal and Dr. Alana Bloom became intimate but does not prove anything if we know anything about Hannibal's personality. In fact, quite the contrary because Hannibal has proven to be a peculiar creature and the conversations between him and Will Graham leaves the audience wondering the full intentions of the murderer. His approach to Will is a bit awkward and may indicate that he is in fact, gay in some way or other.
