NCIS Season 12 Reveals, Spoilers and Plot: Show Runners Looking for Love Interest for Tony Dinozzo as Role has not Yet Been Cast

The 12^th season of NCIS is going to premiere on September 23^rd premiering on CBS. The first episode of the season is titled ‘20 clicks’ and the second is ‘Kill the messenger’. At the present there is still a lot of speculation about what to expect for the new installment. The upcoming spoiler that everyone wants to know about is that Gibbs is meeting his second ex. The big news now is that we know the name of the character. Gary Garlsberg who is the producer and the writer mentioned it in an interview with TV Line that the character is called Jake. He also talked about the shows character; Bishop about her life and her marriage. We could in fact be seeing two storylines about Bishop’s past intertwined into one episode which is not much of a leap.

The other thing about the plot is Tony and the new woman that is set to enter his life. Glasberg stated that the new woman will appear from the fourth episode of season 12 and the two of them are going to meet under special circumstances through a case. This is the best that they would offer Tony as concerns his story especially considering that he suffered a lot last year and had to deal with the departure of Zeva from the scene as best he could. Even Glasberg states that it will be hard to cast someone for the role. According to him, the trick is to cast someone who has the same chemistry as with Tony on screen without it backfiring. He says that he would like to see where it goes it the end.

 According to the show runner, there are so many who are joining the cast this time for the 12^th season, former NFL player Tony Gonzalez  will be a guest star in one of the episodes with Michael Weatherly  and Emily Wickersham.
