'Arrow' Star Katie Cassidy New Movie 'The Scribbler', Watch Trailer with Michelle Trachtenberg & Eliza Dushku (VIDEO)
"Arrow" star Katie Cassidy is starring in the upcoming thriller movie The Scribbler. You can check out the trailer for the film above.
27-year-old Cassidy is joined by Garret Dillahunt, Eliza Dushku, Kunal Nayyar, Michelle Trachtenberg and Sasha Grey for the sci-fi thriller.
The Scribbler is directed by John Suits and written by Daniel Schaffer, who wrote and illustrated the original graphical novel of same name that the movie is based on.
Katie Cassidy plays the title character, Suki, as a woman with multiple personalities, "Dissociative Identity Disorder." One of Suki's personalities is The Scribbler, writing messages on the walls which Cassidy has learned to do herself.
"I've scribbled a lot," She said. "I actually practiced writing backwards with my left hand a lot before we started the movie. When you see me in the insane asylum and in that padded cell, I did a lot of the scribbles on the walls in there which was cool."
Plot: Follows Suki (Cassidy), a young woman confronting her destructive mental illness using "The Siamese Burn," an experimental machine designed to eliminate multiple personalities. The closer Suki comes to being "cured," she's haunted by a thought... what if the last unwanted identity turns out to be her?
Katie Cassidy currently stars as Laurel Lance on The CW superhero television series "Arrow" (2012-present). She has also appeared in The CW series "Supernatural" (2007-2008), "Melrose Place" (2009-2010), and "Gossip Girl" (2010 and 2012); in CBS' Harper's Island (2009); and in the films When a Stranger Calls (2006), Black Christmas (2006), Taken (2008), A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) and Monte Carlo (2011).
The Scribbler is set to open to theaters on September 12th, 2014.
