Hauser Debuts New Single And Video “Song To The Moon”

Internationally acclaimed cellist HAUSER unveils his captivating cello rendition of "Song To The Moon," from his upcoming album 'CLASSIC II' out next Friday, April 19th - LISTEN HERE. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the rendition, HAUSER reminisces about his formative years studying cello in London. A pivotal moment occurred when a young HAUSER was awarded a prize that afforded him the opportunity to perform alongside soprano Renée Fleming at Buckingham Palace, in a special performance for Prince Charles. It was during this extraordinary experience that HAUSER first encountered Antonín Dvořák's "Song of the Moon" aria from the opera Rusalka - an encounter that left him utterly spellbound.

"When I heard this beautiful aria for the first time, I was so inspired," HAUSER recalls. "You know, when you're a student, you stick to the cello repertoire and how it's taught to you. You're not encouraged to think outside the box. Hearing Renée Fleming sing this aria was a pivotal moment for me. I decided to do something outside the box: I transcribed this aria for the cello myself - the first transcription I ever did. It was the beginning of who I am today. Renée Fleming's voice singing this aria inspired me to treat the cello like a singer. It's why I developed this very romantic 'singing' style that people relate to so much. This experience defined my style for the rest of my life."

The accompanying music video is a visual masterpiece in its own right. He released his second single "Emmanuel" alongside a stunning music video filmed in the forest in his native Croatia as well as his third single "Lullaby," which captures the timeless essence of Brahms. His fourth single is a soul-stirring rendition of Chopin's "Tristesse" expertly arranged for the cello, which envelops listeners in a poignant storm of emotions.
