Wynonna Judd Will be Singing About the Christ-Child This Christmas with Her "A Simpler Christmas" Tour
Come this December, country superstar Wynonna Judd, one half of the Grammy winning duo the Judds, will be singing the praises of the Christ Child with her Christmas tour entitled "A Simpler Christmas." This will be the first time she will be touring with her own band "The Big Noise." On this tour, she will be singing some of the most beloved Christmas songs as well as some of her biggest hits.
"Every year I look forward to our Christmas tour," said Wynonna. "It's so easy to get caught up in the perfectionism and the expectations that this time of the year often brings. I love singing the music that inspires me to remember the real reason for the season. My hope is that people can come to the show, forget about their 'to do' list and, for the time we are together, simply enjoy themselves."
In 2006, country superstar Wynonna Judd released her first ever Christmas album where she recorded a slew of Christmas songs and carols and one original song. The original entry was "It's the Messiah," a song written by her long time producer Don Potter. This Yuletide effort was warmly received where her version of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and "Winter Wonderland" respectively reached #3 and #18 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts in 2006.
Wynonna is currently working with husband/producer/drummer Cactus Moser on solo material for her eighth studio album due out 2015 on Curb Records. The couple also recently released "Follow Me," an original song for the film "The Hornet's Nest" which features real footage to tell the story of an elite group of U.S. troops sent on a mission deep inside one of Afghanistan's valleys.
