Windows Phone 8.1 built in with Xbox and friendly assistant – Cortana!
The Windows Phone 8.1 main features is the establishment of its personal assistant, Cortana, similar to Google's Google Now and Apple's Siri. Cortana is a virtual personal assistant and was derived from the Halo game series. It sets reminders, recognizes pre-defined series of commands and answers questions using information from Bing. The other top of the line feature is the inclusion of Xbox with the phone. Xbox aficionados are now given the chance to bring Xbox wherever they go.
Windows Phone has Live Tiles, which bring personalized information right to your Start screen. It has a 41 MP back camera to capture those precious moments. It is incorporated with One Drive, Office, Skype and Bing. The phone is optimized to help you do more with the smartphone keyboard, intelligent storage, better data usage, a battery that lasts longer and so much more.
Windows Phone 8.1 will be manufactured by Nokia, Gionee, HTC, Huawei, JSR, Karbonn, LG, Lenovo, Longcheer, Micromax, Samsung, Lava, and ZTE. Sony (under the Xperia or Vaio brand) has also stated its intention to produce Windows Phone devices in the near future. The already released Windows Phone 8.1 devices are the Lumia 930, Lumia 630, Lumia 635, Micromax Canvas Win W092, Micromax Canvas Win W121 and other Windows Phones. The first Windows Phone 8.1 device was the Lumia 630 announced by Nokia on 2nd April, 2014 at Microsoft's annual Build Event.
It was released in final form to Windows Phone developers on April 14, 2014.
