Benny DiChiara and Empowered Named "Artist of the Month"

Christian Mix 106 has named Benny DiChiara and his chart-topping indie Christian Rock band, Empowered, as the station's Artist of the Month for December 2023.
"We are so excited, blessed and humbled to be the December Featured Artist for Christian Mix 106!" says DiChiara. "The leadership and management of this station gives glory to God for everything. They play the best mix of Christian music, devotionals, Christian talk, podcasts, and on-demand content. Check 'em out - you'll be blessed! So truly honored for this. For the Kingdom!"

The honor comes on the heels of DiChiara and Empowered's recent co-headlining performance at the Rockin' Your Soul Concert Series in Joplin, MO, where they performed songs from their latest release, "Yahweh Nissi."
At the event, DiChiara, the frontman and primary songwriter for Empowered, shared his powerful testimony of surviving a traumatic head injury that nearly took his life and his capacity to create music. Instead, he astonished doctors with a rapid and nearly full recovery, and the man who was once at the edge of life is now full of purpose and divine presence.
"We saw so much Jesus at this show," says DiChiara. "My tears flowed as I prayed over people that night. Their stories. Their pains. Their uncertainty. But they knew to ask for prayer. They knew that Jesus was the answer that they sought. It is both humbling and amazing to see Him work through the music He's given us."
DiChiara and Empowered's latest EP, Yahweh Nissi (Slingshot Records) includes the No. 1 hit single, "I'll Meet You There (Daddy's Song)," and the current single, "Jesus Can Heal the World," both of which DiChiara co-wrote with the record's Dove Award-nominated producer, Mikey Howard (7eventh Time Down and Love Journey Music).
In addition to appearing on multiple national media outlets, including CBN's flagship show, The 700 Club; Cornerstone Television Network's flagship show, Hope Today; and NRBTV & WATC-TV 57 in Atlanta's award-winning TV show, Babbie's House; Crossmap.com, the online lifestyle magazine of The Christian Post, and many more,DiChiara and Empowered have been a staple of the live music scene in their home state of Louisiana, sharing the stage with such powerhouse artists as Switchfoot, MercyMe, 7eventh Time Down, and Jaci Velasquez.
"Benny DiChiara is living proof that God can use anybody and every situation to serve His purposes," says Chris Carpenter, managing editor Crossmap.com. "What a miraculous story of being delivered from a life-threatening brain injury to making music that honors His kingdom."
