Find Out What Some of Your Favorite Christian Artists Have to Say on Mother's Day

Mother's Day was first celebrated in 1908 in Grafton (where Anna grew up) and Philadelphia (where she lived as an adult). Later, in a resolution passed May 8, 1914, the U.S. Congress officially established the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day. Ever since, Mother's Day has become a precious time for children to honor their mothers and mothers in general. Many Christian artists have also taken the time to do this yesterday.
Phil Wickham:
"[H]appy Mother's Day to my sweet mom @lisa_wickham! I am so blessed to have a mom who has faithfully followed Jesus my whole life and continues to point my eyes to him. Love you mom!"
Anne Wilson:
"I know why God made Mamas, cause He knew I needed you! Show your mama some love and tag me in your videos using #MamasDay."
Crystal Lewis:
"When you have to plan and orchestrate a memorial service for someone you probably wind up with every possible photo of the person that passed. My sisters and I started gathering photos a few years ago, as we new this would be our reality sooner rather than later. We collected hundreds of images that hold thousands of memories... and countless feelings.
"This is the first Mothers Day that my mom isn't present on Earth. There's such a big void here without her. It's strange to miss her AND feel closer to her now. I honor and celebrate and remember her with a new sense of wonder and understanding today. Sending love to all of you wrestling with the heaviness of having lost a mom."
Kim Walker-Smith:
"Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there, cooking, cleaning, planning parties, teaching, shopping, dodging fingers, wiping rear-ends, surviving your kids pets, and living ready to throw down with anyone who dares to cross the line."
Natasha Owens:
"Moms, I pray you feel celebrated, honored, and loved today. Happy Mother's Day."
Amy Grant:
"Sharing a bloodline with someone does not guarantee a relationship. Relationship requires showing up and listening. It takes practice to build a better communication tool kit and on the other side, sharpen our receptors; but it's worth the effort to keep trying, to keep communicating. At 62 I still have a lot to learn."
Cade Thompson:
"Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!!"
Abby Robertson:
"Happy Mother's Day to two of the most beautiful women I know! My mom & soon to be mother-in-law! Both of y'all love, serve & care for others around you SO well. Beyond grateful God hand picked you both for us kiddos! When I grow up I hope to be half the mother / wife y'all are! Thank you for the example you've set! Love you both tons."
CAIN:
"We are who we are because of the lives you live and the way you showed us who Jesus is. Here are our mamas - and here's to all you mamas! #HappyMothersDay."
