Jim Brickman Spreads Love and Positivity with New Christmas Record
Multi-award winning instrumentalist Jim Brickman will be back with his new Christmas album, A Very Merry Christmas, on October 14. The stunning 16-song album boasts a festive mix of solo piano renditions and lush performances with special guest singers including Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening, The Book of Mormon, Company), Santino Fontana (Frozen, Tootsie), Norm Lewis (Dessa Rose, Miss Saigon, The Wild Party) and Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid, The Phantom of the Opera).
Proceeds from A Very Merry Christmas will benefit the Entertainment Community Fund, a national human services organization that serves the entertainment community through addressing the challenges involved in a life in the arts.
"I've built my career making music that spreads love and positivity and to me that's what this project is all about. It was truly an honor to collaborate with such incredible talent and give back to the music community through the Entertainment Community Fund," Brickman says.
This winter, fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy the holidays with Brickman live and in person as he takes the stage for the A Very Merry Christmas Tour. This musical Christmas celebration kicks off November 27th and runs through December 31st.
Brickman's captivating live performances and signature musical style have revolutionized the popularity of instrumental music. He has sold eight million albums worldwide; earned 22 Billboard Magazine Number One albums and 32 Top 20 Radio Singles; garnered two Grammy nominations; won a Canadian Country Music Award and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association; and two times Brickman was named Songwriter of the Year by SESAC.
In 2019, Brickman marked a career milestone when he joined Pandora's Billionaires Club, celebrating over 2 billion lifetime streams on the platform. Few artists have passed this monumental threshold; only Garth Brooks, Justin Timberlake, Pitbull, and Chris Tomlin have hit the one billion mark. In addition to his wildly successful music career, Brickman has written three best-selling books, starred in four TV concert specials, and offers happy thoughts, expert advice, and soothing music as the host of the popular syndicated radio show, "The Jim Brickman Show."
