Brooke Ligertwood Responds to Her GMA Dove Awards Nominations

GRAMMY® Award-winning songwriter, producer and critically-acclaimed artist Brooke Ligertwood has received two nominations for the upcoming 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards -- Worship Album of the Year and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year both for her new album SEVEN.
All of the nominees were virtually announced earlier today for the show, which will be held Tuesday, October 18 at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena and air Friday, Oct. 21 at 8pm ET and 10pm ET exclusively on Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) and the TBN app. The theme for this year's awards is Sound Of Heaven. Voted on by the GMA Professional Membership, this year's nominees were chosen from over 2,000 submitted entries and include a wide range of creativity and artistic integrity in both artist and non-artist categories.
Ligertwood is grateful as she writes, "We are thankful to the GMA members for these nominations for SEVEN! And we're grateful every day for the extraordinary team who came together to bring this project to life - the depth of encounter and the birth/continuation of so much rich friendship within the context of this project has been heavenly. Thank you to everyone for your beautiful labour and sacrifice.
"And thanks to all the other nominees for all you bring to the table so that everyone everywhere might have a nuance of expression that uniquely connects with them in their own pursuit of Christ."
After six mainstream albums with Sony Music under maiden name "Brooke Fraser" and in parallel, 17 years with Hillsong Worship, which she still currently leads globally, Ligertwood is combining her two decades of experience as an artist/producer and her passion for serving the church with her new solo offering under Capitol CMG.
