Darin and Brooke Aldridge Make Chart History with the Oak Ridge Boys
Darin and Brooke Aldridge made history with the current single "He's Gettin' Me Ready," featuring the Oak Ridge Boys and written by Jimmy Fortune, by being the longest running #1 single in the history of the Singing News Bluegrass Gospel Chart.
Darin and Brooke Aldridge state, "Dreams becoming reality are moments like these. On May 6, we celebrated a #1 song on the Grand Ole Opry stage with our friends and musical heroes, the Oak Ridge Boys. 'He's Gettin' Me Ready,' written by our dear friend Jimmy Fortune and featuring guest vocals from the Oaks, stayed on the Singing News Bluegrass Gospel Chart for five consecutive months!
"Thanks to Jerry Salley, our longtime friend and Creative Director for our label, Billy Blue Records, for presenting us with special plaques commemorating this first for a song on the Singing News Bluegrass Gospel Chart. It is moment that comes with a lot of hugs, smiles, and reminders of how truly blessed we are in 'This Life We're Livin'."
2022 has been a banner year for Darin and Brooke Aldridge. In January, the release of "Grand Ole Circle," sparked nostalgia for all who cherish the history and stories behind the incredible performances and historic moments created in the "circle" at the hallowed Grand Ole Opry. The group has appeared on the Opry frequently, has a full upcoming schedule, and is continuing to experience great radio success on national and local bluegrass and Gospel radio.
