Exclusive Song Premiere: Carley Arrowood's "Jesus Drive the Train"

Young fiddler, singer and songwriter Carley Arrowood will be releasing her much anticipated new album Goin' Home Comin' On on April 8. One of the album's highlights is when Arrowood offers her heartfelt testimonial to the power of her faith in the song "Jesus Drive The Train." In an exclusive partnership with us, you can now listen to song HERE.
"Jesus Drive The Train," a co-write with the award-winning Becky Buller, earned her a showcase appearance at the IBMA's World of Bluegrass in 2015
Arrowood takes the time to reveal how the song came about. "When I was 17 and getting close to graduation, I started wondering what was going to be next, and most of 'Jesus Drive the Train' was written the weekend I walked the stage in my cap and gown. Becky Buller wrote the mournful refrain that you'll hear about asking Jesus to be in control, and years later I revisited the original verses and rewrote them to flow better.
"The song talks about how everywhere we turn, there'll always be something that's going to try to bring us down. Temptation, darkness, fear, tiredness. But we keep 'thunderin' down the line' because the Lord is in control, and He will take us home."
Arrowood hopes this song will cultivate a strong faith within us for Jesus. "I hope this song encourages listeners to remember that in this crazy, uncertain life, our ultimate goal, especially as Christians, is to 'let Jesus drive'; to glorify the King of kings and one day be with Him for all eternity. 'He who began a good work inyou will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.' (Phil. 1:6)."
