Jillian Edwards Hopes "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled" Will Help Us to Abide in God's Love

Singer and songwriter Jillian Edwards has just released her brand new EP Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled. Produced by David Leonard, the new record features 4 new songs, including the latest single and title track "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled." It is Edwards' goal that these songs will help us to abide deeply in the love of God.
Edwards explians, "I'll be learning for the rest of my days what it is to deeply abide in the love of God - how to seek his face, how to invite and enjoy him in all kinds of moments...how to be awake to and receive the invitation he constantly extends to me (and all of us) to be with him. This collection of songs reminds me that his friendship is not frail and it does not wither away when everything else, including my own strength, does. To press onward in knowing him is the thrill and hope of life, and these songs wake my soul up to it. I hope they spark some inner flame for you too.
This collection of songs reminds me that the friendship of God is not frail and it does not wither away when everything else, including my own strength, does. In silence, in slowness, in steadiness - he is close. In whispers, in mundane, in small and simple things - he is close. To press onward in knowing him is the thrill and hope of life, and these songs wake my soul up to it. I hope they spark some inner flame for you too."
As for the new single, "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled" is a song that reminds those of us who are worry addicts who is the one ultimately in control of our lives. " We all carry things. Sometimes life asks questions we don't have answers for. Sometimes our hearts are bursting with joy and sometimes they're breaking with sorrow. In both (and all the feelings in between) we can remind our hearts what is true - and we wait. We wait upon the Lord and against all hope - we hope. Love is on the throne. Let not your heart be troubled."

For more than a decade, Edwards-who now resides in Nashville with her husband, Will, drummer for indie rock band Colony House, and their daughter, Willow Faye-has consistently written and recorded music through the lens of faith, even when she's crafting songs about love and relationships or writing songs specifically for film and television. The latter has seen Edwards' songs featured in television episodes of Nashville, Pretty Little Liars and Grey's Anatomy, and on commercials for Citibank among other high-profile brands. In addition, a collaboration with EDM DJ Thomas Gold resulted in a surprise hit for the singer/songwriter with "Magic," on which she is credited as a co-writer and featured vocalist. Her previous collection of original material, 2014's Daydream, topped iTunes' Singer/Songwriter chart and landed at No. 6 on Billboard's New Artist chart. In 2016, she released COVERS, putting her creative stamp on 10 reimagined versions of some of her favorite songs written by other artists. She is managed by the Stable Collective, and her booking agency is WME.
