Martha Munizzi's Heartfelt Story of How Her New Song "Fight for Me" Was Birth
GRAMMY®, Dove®, and Stellar® Award-winning singer-songwritet Martha Munizzi reveals the story behind her latest single. "Fight For Me" is the second single from her highly anticipated upcoming LIVE album, BEST DAYS, which is slated for release this summer. This will be Martha's new album in over a decade.
Martha remembered how the song "Fight For Me" was conceived. "One day I heard Nicole (her daughter) singing a chorus from her room I had never heard before. I remember thinking...please Lord let it be an original song! (There are so many great new songs out right now and I thought for sure she would say it was the latest song from a popular artist.) She came downstairs shaking and said, "mom, I just wrote a song! I really think God gave it to me because it came out of nowhere!!" Those are usually the best ones! We finished the song she started and I think it's my favorite song on the record. I pray it resonates with you when you hear it!
Danielle wrote several songs on the record including Fight For Me (my other favorite song), and you should hear her tell the story of how David Outing (producer) completely transformed it. It's actually hilarious. (She originally wrote it as a ballad so if you've heard the song you know). Collaborating with my girls and dlo was a dream come true, and its an experience I'll cherish forever."
Recorded live at her home church in Orlando, FL, the project is certain to eclipse any other record that the praise and worship artist has done. Munizzi worked with up and coming producer David Outing (Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, James Fortune) to produce 10 brand-new tracks for the upcoming album.
