Benny DiChiara & Empowered Kick Off 2021 With Two Consecutive No. 1 Music Videos
Singer/songwriter/survivor Benny DiChiara and his band, Empowered, are starting 2021 right where they left off at the end of 2020-at the top of the charts. The band, which snagged the No. 1 spot twice in 2020 on IndieGospel.net's Top 10 Video Chart, has claimed two consecutive No. 1 music videos on the same chart to kick off 2021.
During the second week of January, Empowered's "Listen to the Children" music video (watch HERE) hit No. 1 for the second time. This week, the music video of title track to the band's critically acclaimed Three Days album has taken the top spot for the second time, while "Listen to the Children" remains on the chart at No. 6.
"It's such an exciting way to start the new year," says DiChiara. "God blessed us so richly last year. We feel honored that our music is still resonating with people and we look forward to what's still to come!"
The band's sophomore project, Three Days, not only yielded multiple No. 1's; it was the band's first release since DiChiara nearly lost his life to a traumatic brain injury. His journey of healing made 2020's achievements all the more significant.
In September 2020, their "Listen to the Children" music video debuted at No. 1 on Indiegospel.net's Top 10 video chart.
In December 2020, DiChiara and the band occupied two No. 1 spots across Indiegospel.net's various charts-the music video for the EP's title track, "Three Days," hit No.1 on the website's Top 10 video chart, and the band's radio single, "Listen to the Children," reached No. 1 on Indiegospel.net's Top 20 chart.
"The message of 'Listen to the Children' is so imperative and is clearly resonating with people right now," says DiChiara. "We are so grateful for the support of fans and radio, but even more so to God for His abundant blessings."
Three Days-the project, the song, and the video-are multi-sensory reminders of a sovereign God who not even death can contain.
"Jesus took care of everything in just three days. And that includes you!" says DiChiara. "I hope that you will let others know what He has done for you in your life so that they may receive this precious gift as well. Eternity is ours if we just believe."
In a year hallmarked by fear, tragedy, and dissent, Three Days provided a light in the darkness, as it reminded people of God's restoration, healing, and unconditional love.
