'Scandal' ABC Season 4 Release Date 2014 Announced, Kerry Washington & Main Cast Members Returning
"Scandal" Season 4 is a few months away from its premiere and now fans have a date to make on their calendar. ABC has announced their Fall 2014 television show schedule and "Scandal" Season 4 will premiere on Thursday night, September 25th at 9/8c following "Grey's Anatomy".
Most of the main cast will return for Season 4 including: Kerry Washington, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Tony Goldwyn, Joshua Malina, Bellamy Young and Scott Foley. Cast member Columbus Short will not be returning for the fourth season due to person issues.
On May 8, 2014, ABC renewed the show for a fourth season. "Scandal" has become one of the most popular shows on television starring Kerry Washington. The show was created by Shonda Rhimes and Kerry Washington's character, Olivia Pope, is partially based on former George H.W. Bush administration press aide Judy Smith, who serves as a co-executive producer. The show takes place in Washington, D.C. and focuses on Olivia Pope's crisis management firm, Olivia Pope & Associates, and its staff, as well as staff at the White House.
Olivia Pope & Associates' staff includes Harrison Wright (Columbus Short), a smooth and efficient litigator; Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield), the firm's investigator; Huck (Guillermo Diaz), a hacker with a CIA past; and recent recruit Quinn Perkins (Katie Lowes), a fresh faced lawyer with a secret. Another former employee of Pope and Associates was Pope's good friend, Stephen Finch (Henry Ian Cusick), a suave detective who was never really tied down to anything.
