Devious maids is an American comedy drama series that is created by Marc Cherry. It is an ABC production with Cherry being the executive producer among others. It premiered on June 23th 2013 on lifetime.
This series has had over 3 million viewers on its season one finale making it one of the most viewed comedy drama series in the country. The show was originally developed on air on ABC with its pilot episode getting positive reviews. The series drew 1.99 million viewers and after its sixth episode it had risen to 45% from its premiere to 2.90 million viewers. Talk of a series hitting the scenes. People couldn't wait to see how the season finale would end having a 3 million view audience.
It is no wonder with such ratings this awesome series got its second season which premiered on April 20, 2014.
The story line involves four Latina maids who work for the wealthiest families in Beverly Hills that are also very powerful. A new maid comes along after a maid is murdered and she takes is personally as her son is framed for the murder. She tries to uncover the truth and finds too many skeletons in the wealthy families' closets and in the process ends up becoming an ally in their lives. However, she uses here closeness to helping free her son and finally reviling the truth. The story shows many secrets that happen in the rich families' lives making you wonder what's the worst that could happen after such shocking discoveries.
The cast of the show include Ana Ortiz as ( Marisol Deering (Duarte) the lead character, and Dania Ramirez as (Rosie Falta), Roselyn Sánchez as (Carmen Luna) , Edy Ganem as (Valentina Diaz), and Judy Reyes as (Zoila Diaz) as other maids. Susan Lucci as (Genevieve Delatour), Rebecca Wisocky as ( Evelyn Powell) , Tom Irwin as (Adrian Powell), Brianna Brown as (Taylor Stappord), Brett Cullen as (Michael Stappord), Mariana Klaveno as (Peri Westmore), and Grant Show as (Spence Westmore ) are also featured as main role players as part of the wealthy families
With the debut of its second season we can't wait to see how the story goes and what secrets are there to be discovered. Only time will tell what crazy thing will happen it this dramatic comedy series and to be honest a little bit of crazy does make things very interesting.
