Bethel Music Releases New Song "Champion" Featuring Dante Bowe
"Champion," the latest single from GRAMMY®-nominated, internationally renowned worship collective Bethel Music, is now available. A thunderous anthem boldly affirming who Jesus is and who we are because of Him, "Champion" features singer/songwriter and worship leader Dante Bowe, one of the newest members of the Bethel Music team.
Co-penned by Bowe, along with Bethel Music's Brandon Lake, as well as Steffany Gretzinger, Jonathan Jay and Tony Brown, the track is featured on Bethel Music's highly anticipated May 29 live set, Revival's In The Air. "Champion" heralds a Savior who has conquered the grave, giving His children inheritance in a Kingdom that will reign for eternity.
"The inspiration for 'Champion' came from a conversation with friends about identity, what the Father has done for us and our awareness of that," Bowe explains. "This song is personal, not just for me, but for anyone who's ever felt the pressure to measure up or has felt lesser than. We all, at some point in our lives, walk through a season of insecurity and doubt in what the Lord has already spoken. Even when we know what He says, it seems unfair for a good God to still esteem and give power to those who were once sinners. Once we understand His Lordship and Kingship, we realize just how powerful we are as joint heirs with Christ. We didn't work for it. We didn't earn it. It's just simply our inheritance. Once a generation knows that, everything changes."
"My hope is that more than a public display of revival, this song sparks personal revival and awakening in everyone who hears it," he adds. "I hope people step into their identity, fully knowing who they are and Who they belong to."
Revival's In The Air, the 15th live recording from Bethel Music, continues a legacy of Spirit-led releases that have shaped the globally lauded collective's signature sound for more than a decade. Recorded live at Bethel Church in Redding, California, the sprawling, 17-track project showcases Bethel Music's distinguished cadre of songwriters and worship leaders, including Brian and Jenn Johnson, Cory Asbury, Jonathan David and Melissa Helser, Josh Baldwin, Kristene DiMarco, Paul and Hannah McClure, Brandon Lake, Bethany Wohrle and Dante Bowe.
A member of the Bethel Music collective since 2019, Dante Bowe lives in Columbus, Georgia, and serves as a worship pastor at Addereth Christian Center in Phenix City, Alabama. An acclaimed songwriter with Maverick City Music and Atlanta's Heritage Publishing, he has collaborated with such artists as Travis Greene, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, VaShawn Mitchell, Eddie James, and Housefires, among others. Bowe's best-selling solo debut, Son of a Father, released in 2017.
