Selah's Allan Hall Shares the Heart Behind His New Song "Stand By Me"

Christian music Selah's Allan Hall has released his brand new solo single "Stand By Me." The song is Hall's gift of encouragement and comfort to fans during this difficult times when many lives are ravaged by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
He writes: "I know this is an unusual and difficult time we are living in. Since I'm a musician, the best way I know how to (hopefully) comfort and encourage people during uncertain times is through music, naturally. To that end (and since I'm not touring right now and have some extra time on my hands from the quarantine), I recorded a beautiful old hymn from 1905 called "Stand by Me". I have loved this hymn since I was a child, and I feel the words are so potent and meaningful for what is happening in the world right now.
Here's an example from the 1st verse:
"When the world is tossing me like a ship upon the sea, Thou who rulest wind and water, stand by me."
Such poetry!
Hall hopes this song will be able to minister to us in such difficult times. "I hope this song speaks to your heart and brings you some calm in the storm we all find ourselves in right now. I'd love to know what you think of the recording, so feel free to comment. Also, feel free to share any prayer requests as well so I can be praying in a specific way for you. I have been praying for our world and especially for those who have lost loved ones during this pandemic, but I'd love to pray in specific ways for you if you'd like ("unspoken" requests are fine, too). Much love to all of you, and again, I hope this song will speak to your heart in a meaningful way. "
