Randall Goodgame Showcases Timeless Truth in “The Slugs & Bugs Show”
Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter and family entertainer Randall Goodgame is set to star in "The Slugs & Bugs Show," a groundbreaking new series designed to help children and parents grow together in Truth, navigating daily life through the lens of faith. Produced by veteran VeggieTales film producer J. Chris Wall and executive produced by Brock Starnes of Brentwood Studios, the series' first 13 episodes premiere on home video and streaming September 27. "The Slugs & Bugs Show" will also be available via RightNow Media, a faith-based streaming platform serving more than 18,000 churches around the country.
Featuring the delightful hijinks of Goodgame and his co-stars-Doug the Slug, Sparky the Lightning Bug and Morty and Maggie Raccoon, along with Goodgame's wife Amy-"The Slugs & Bugs Show" is Gospel-centered fun for a new generation of families. Silly stories and memorable musical moments abound in each episode, as Goodgame and his merry gang of characters journey through life together, grounded in biblical principles.
Wall, inspired by his family's love of Goodgame's Slugs & Bugs music series, developed the show's concept. "I wanted to bring together a space where we could present some great music from Randall, along with the characters that have already populated the Slugs & Bugs world," he shares. "Randall has a passion for bringing the Truth of Scripture to life in real ways and we hope the show models that kind of discipleship. I am so proud of all the amazing artists who have come alongside us for this entire production, and I can't wait to share it with families."
Further sparking the imaginations of children of all ages, a slew of special guests visits the Slugs & Bugs Workshop throughout the series, including acclaimed singer/songwriters Andrew Peterson and Buddy Greene; The Jesus Storybook Bible author Sally Lloyd-Jones; and renowned theologian and author Russell Moore, among others.
"Lots of my friends-including musicians, pastors and authors-stop by the show and we wrestle with some tough issues," explains Goodgame. "We tackle topics like fairness, adoption and fear, and we also model friendship, forgiveness and collaboration. My hope is that families will be able to enjoy the show together, sing together and grow in their faith together."
