Thea Goes Dark and Other Arrow Season 3 Spoilers

Sweet, innocent Thea Queen (Willa Holland) as villain? Better believe it. In the last episode of Season 2, she did agree to join her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn (aka the Dark Archer, played by John Barrowman), the Arrow's deadliest enemy and main antagonist for most of Season 1.
Remember, in that "Unthinkable" Season 2 episode, to Merlyn's fatherly pride and joy, she did shot him twice without hesitation, proving his point that they are both very much alike. They are both capable of being killers. Thea however failed to actually kill Merlyn because he had a kevlar vest on. As Barrowman will now be joining the cast as a Season 3 series regular, according to no less than Stephen Amell (the Arrow), you can expect the unhinged father-and-daughter tandem to add more twists and turns to next season's story arcs.
Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) will likely be Season 3's new Black Canary. After all, Sara (Caity Lotz) has already re-joined the League of Assassins, but not before symbolically passing on to big sister Laurel her black crime-fighting leather jacket.
Casting is underway for who will be playing four new characters to be introduced in Season 3 according to a report from TVLine. "Daniel," one of the characters, will be Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards) new love interest. Rich and handsome, he will be given a tragic past which will compel him to put on a secret identity as a "tech-powered" super vigilante.
"Seth," another new character, will be Starling City's next major super baddie. A chemical genius who likes to whistle classical music as he works, he will develop and use a drug that can rob people of their willpower.
Since flashbacks are as much an important part of the Arrow brand of TV storytelling, there will also be two new characters in Oliver Queen's tales of origin. "Toshi" and "Akiko" are a husband and wife team who will be his handlers, trainers and friends during the time he spent in Hong Kong with A.R.G.U.S. and Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai Robinson).
Episode 1 of Arrow Season 3 will air on October 8, 2014.
