Caitie Hurst Signs with Centricity Music & Releases "Nothing to Hide"
Centricity Music has added another strong talent to its artist roster; 23-year-old Caitie Hurst has signed with the indie Christian label. Today she released her debut single "Nothing To Hide," which precedes an EP to be released later this year.
A Hendersonville, Tennessee, native, Hurst brings a powerhouse voice to magnetic pop melodies. Having lead worship and worked in youth ministry for years, the singer-songwriter has a heart for producing music that shares both personal testimony and vibrant jam-session sounds.
"I want to bridge the gap between songs that sound like popular radio and songs that hold lyrics that are actually meaningful and communicate the Gospel," Hurst said. "God has used songs to reveal truth to me and get me through challenging experiences. I want to create music has cool beats, but that ultimately it's the word of God within the songs making the impact."

"Nothing To Hide" comes from Hurst's journey battling insecurity and anxiety, ultimately finding freedom in Christ's love.
"At different times in life, I've been so ruled by worrying. Worrying about what others think of me, worrying about my mistakes, and thinking I can't turn to God with all of that. This song is the reminder that God already knows my heart and that I don't' have to hide from Him."
After listening to Hurst's self-produced music and getting to know her, Centricity was thrilled to add Caitie to the family, signing recording and publishing deals.
"It didn't take long to discover not only Caitie's incredible talent, but a heart and attitude rare to find in our work," Senior VP of A&R John Mays said. "We're thrilled to support her and her music."
Hurst has been working with songwriters and producers such as Colby Wedgeworth (Zach Williams, Jordan Feliz) and Cody Fry (Ben Rector, All Sons & Daughters) to craft her EP. She will release additional singles in the upcoming months before the full project's August debut.
