Justin Bieber Mentor Usher Shares His Thoughts on the Popstars Recent Struggles
Pop singer and "The Voice" judge Usher graced the cover of the June/July 2014 issue of Nylon Guys and in his interview spread was asked about Justin Bieber, whom Usher has mentored since day one.
The 35-year-old star was asked what advice he would give to Justin in times like these and Usher responded saying, "I gave every bit of advice and always told him it was up to him if he really wanted this. Now that he has it, as an adult, it's his to manage. Do I turn my head in shame based off of what I see, what I know? Nah, I don't because it's all part of life's process. Am I in it with him? Yeah. It's unfortunate. I hate some of the things I hear. Is it all true? I don't know. But I will tell you this: Success comes with a price. Every person that has grown up, grows through something. It ain't just perfect from the beginning."
Usher also explained that you have to care about your fans but not listen too much to them to change who you are as a person or artist sharing, "I care enough to make sure they understand that I'm making it for them, but I've got to be true to where I am."
When asked about how Usher developed into a world renowned pop star, he shared, "Artist development made me who I am. Somebody took the time to help me find what it is that works for me as an entertainer and who I am as a music maker."
With all of Justin Bieber's troubles with the law and waves he has made with his comments, Usher and JB's manager Scooter Braun have been trying to get in extra personal time to help him clear his head and get his act together. Justin really seems to have a good heart and he is a huge talent, lets just hope that he can get it all figured out soon, at least enough to keep him out of the police enforcements watch.
