NF's "Perception" Tops Billboard Top 200 Chart!

One of the realest fan movements of the year made this possible...Rapper NF's third studio album, Perception (NF Real Music/Caroline), has exceeded expectations to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200.
Fan support hinted at something very special in the air, as NF's Perception had Capitol Music Group's fastest-selling D2C pre-order of the year. Today the Michigan rapper, singer and songwriter surprises the industry at large with the No. 1 album in the country, cementing Perception as a genuine underdog victory.
Upon arrival last week, the record quickly seized No. 1 on the iTunes Overall Top Albums Chart and No. 1 on the Amazon Top Rap Albums Chart and his newly announced headline show at London's Camden Assembly sold out minutes after he announced it.
Bolstered by this overwhelming audience support coast-to-coast, the 16-track enigmatic and emotional epic is the artist's highest chart bow to date. In addition, NF's song "Let You Down," stands out as his biggest single yet, with over 19.5 million Spotify streams and 4.8 million YouTube/VEVO plays in under three weeks. Moreover, it soared to No. 2 on Spotify's Global Viral 50 Chart and No. 3 on the US Viral 50 Chart and was featured on Spotify's Viral 50 Charts in over 50 countries. Summertime saw "Outro" hit the Spotify US Viral Chart at No. 21 with "Green Lights" hot on its heels at No. 28. The cumulative streams for both tracks exceed 8 million, while combined video views surpass 6 million since August.
The record tempers moments of fierce, focused, and fiery rapping with airy and entrancing hooks-all performed by NF. At the beginning, "Intro III" sees him go bar-for-bar against himself in a brilliant verse volley, exploring mental struggles via raw confessionals. "3 A.M." explodes into a stark late-night rumination, while "You're Special" highlights his vivid and vibrant storytelling. It's "Destiny" that feels the most appropriate though as he chants, "I'm just fulfilling my destiny to the death of me." That destiny includes blowing up as 2017's biggest breakthrough.
Last week, NF revealed his massive touring plans for 2018 with the Perception Tour. Check out the full confirmed itinerary below. Fans can visit nfrealmusic.com for tickets-on-sale now.
As part of his quiet culture infiltration, NF has fast become a D.I.Y. streaming phenomenon due to overwhelming fan support. Already NF took the #1 spot on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart with his 2016 sophomore album Therapy Session, and landed in the Top 15 of the mainstream Top 200 to boot.
