JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise Top Multiple Charts

JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise holds a formidable place in Gospel music. Having amassed multiple awards and recorded multiple Sunday morning classics - the energetic chorale is consistently on the short-list of the top contemporary choirs in the genre. With the recent release of its sixth album, You Deserve It, the ensemble is on the eve of a huge debut.
Currently, JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise is #1 on Billboard's Gospel Airplay, Gospel Digital Songs and Hot Singles charts. You Deserve It is also #1 on the iTunes Gospel Album chart. Released on Jamestown Music, the label Hairston founded in 2016, this will be one of Hairston's strongest debuts and the single "You Deserve It" is the first song of Hairston's ever to reach #1 at Gospel radio.

JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise has been making the media rounds to support the album release, making stops at The Rickey Smiley Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, TV One's NewsOne Now, The Willie Moore, Jr. Show, SiriusXM and more. Later this month, he will tape a performance for The Stellar Gospel Music Awards. He is nominated for Song of the Year and Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year ("You Deserve It").
Formed in 1991 out of Faith Temple in Bridgeport, CT, Youthful Praise was originally known as Teens of TFT and served as the choir for the church, pastored by Bishop J.C. White and Evangelist Gloria White. JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise is known for their Top Ten gospel radio hits such as "After This," "Resting on His Promises," "Incredible God, Incredible Praise," "Bless Me" and "You're Mighty."
