Chicago Mass Choir Releases New Single"Thank You, Thank You Jesus"
New Haven Records recently celebrated the addition of Chicago Mass Choir's new track, "Thank You Thank You Jesus" to Apple Music's Gospel Radio channel.
The song is the legendary group's hottest single in years and joins a long line of high-energy, traditional gospel hits like "Holy Ghost Power," "I Pray We'll Be Ready," "Mighty Good God," and "God is My Everything" that have garnered Chicago Mass Choir numerous Dove, Grammy, and Stellar Award nominations as well as Chicago Music Award.
Featuring the legendary Lemmie Battles as soloist, "Thank You Thank You Jesus" has jumped to #16 on the MediaBase Gospel Radio charts and the companion lyric video has already generated more than 100,000 views, adding to the almost 300,000 YouTube views of the single and 20 million collective online views of their performances.
We Give You Praise is Chicago Mass Choir's 16th album and the sixth on the New Haven Records label. The full project releases on April 15th and will be available wherever gospel music is sold.
Ken Harding, New Haven Records' President shared, "We really appreciate the overwhelming support that "Thank You Thank You Jesus" is receiving from Gospel radio everywhere. The Chicago Mass Choir loves Gospel radio and Gospel radio loves the Chicago Mass Choir!"
Feranda Williamson, the group's President, concludes, "Through the years, Chicago Mass Choir has brought unapologetically traditional gospel music to the Church. If it's relevant and transforming, people will embrace it. Based on the amazing reaction to "Thank You Thank You Jesus," We Give You Praise will be a landmark album in an already legendary career."
Chicago Mass Choir was organized by the late James C. Chambers in Chicago, IL, and is a component of the ECC Music Workshop. Internationally acclaimed for their 25 years of powerful praise and worship ministry, their 15 releases have garnered numerous Dove, Grammy, and Stellar Award nominations as well as Chicago Music Awards.
