J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise Release New Song "Great and Mighty God"

J.J. Hairston & Youthful Praise has crafted an incredible new song of praise "Great and Mighty God" that goes on sale on digital platforms everywhere such as the iTunes Store on October 9th. "It's a different sound for us," Hairston says. "I wanted to show our diversity. This song has a Pop music flavor but it's still the message of Jesus and the vocals are soulful."
The song is a reunion between RCA Inspiration recording artist Deon Kipping and Youthful Praise. Kipping and Hairston wrote "Incredible God, Incredible Praise" together a decade ago. With Kipping's passionate calls and Youthful Praise's thunderous responses, the track zoomed to #6 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart in 2006. On the new mash-up, Kipping's gritty riffs mesh well with Hairston's smooth delivery as the choir provides a pillowy backdrop for the warmly uplifting fusion of acoustic guitars and celestial harmonies.
For over a dozen years, Youthful Praise has been one of the most popular choirs in the USA. Their hit songs "After This," "Lord of All" and "Resting on His Promise" have served as the soundtrack to the lives of scores of Millennial-age churchgoers. The group has appeared on national TV programs such as "Good Morning America," BET's "Celebration of Gospel," "Conan O'Brien," ABC TV's "Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holliday Spectacular" and BET's "Sunday Best."
