Don Piper Talks About His New Movie "90 Minutes in Heaven" (Watch Trailer Here)

The movie "90 Minutes in Heaven" opens in cinemas on September 11. It is a film directed by Michael Polish, based on the bestseller Don Piper biographic novel by the same name. It is also the first film by Giving Films, a sister company to retail chain Family Christian Stores and the company plans to donate all profits from the film to charitable organizations.
Starring Hayden Christensen and Kate Bosworth, 90 MINUTES IN HEAVEN is based on the inspiring New York Times best-selling book that has sold 7 million copies.
The story revolves around Don Piper who died on January 18, 1989 when a semi-tractor truck crushed his car. Declared dead by the first rescue workers to arrive on the scene, Don's body lay under a tarp for the next 90 minutes. Don's soul, meanwhile, was experiencing love, joy, and life like he'd never known before.
Don was in Heaven. When another pastor's prayers helped bring Don back to life, he became a living miracle! Yet this is one miracle Don wished never happened. Heaven's bliss was replaced by excruciating pain and emotional turmoil. With the support and prayers of his beloved Eva, their three kids, and friends near and far, Don clings to his faith in God and fights to regain a semblance of his previous life. The Piper family's incredible true story of perseverance and overcoming the challenges of life-and death-will bring hope and encouragement to all who see it.
Pastor Don Piper once again recalled his time in heaven, saying it is just as wonderful as the Bible described it to be, and that nothing in this world could ever top its grandeur. "The first astounding experience was these people I had loved and lost for a little while, they were there to greet me. I often say you don't sneak up on Heaven. Every one there knows who's coming so they were prepared for my arrival. Grandparents, friends, teachers, relatives, and I was greeted by them and they were literally in perfect condition," he told Breathe Cast. "Many of them had died in old age here but they were perfect and healthy there. So we're going to look good in Heaven, which is something to look forward to."
