Vivienne Neville & Friends Release 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' For Charity

Vivienne Neville has arranged and recorded a stunning new version of the classic old hymn 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus' with her close friends, Liz Clarke and Nashville-based artists Jackie Morris Bates and Mary Kathryn.
The single, released on 3rd March 2014, was recorded in memory of Taira Johnson Baughman who passed away in May 2013 following a long illness.
All money raised for sales of the single goes towards Taira's outstanding medical bills and also to her daughter's college fund, after she spent 2 of her High School years caring for Taira and her 2 brothers, allowing her father to work and to keep the family going.
Taira's mother, gospel jazz singer Jackie Morris Bates is a close friend of Vivienne Neville and through Jackie, Vivienne became friends with Taira.
Not long before her passing mutual friend Joe Rudy Hernandez recorded Taira, Jackie & Vivienne on his phone at a family day in the USA around a piano singing 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus'.
"A fantastic single for a great cause by some talented and generous ladies", says Keith Dixon from Plankton Records.
Vivienne Neville delivered her debut full length album 'Veiled In Mystery' in 2010, following on from her 2008 EP 'Holy One'.
Meanwhile Liz Clarke has revealed plans for her next album, writing on her Facebook page "New album coming out in March, watch this space!"
