iOS 8.1 Update Problems and Issues On iPads: Three Ways to Deal with Them
There was a time when adoption rate for new operating systems from Apple were so high that over 90% of the users were running the latest update in just days after the release. However, this time with iOS 8 and then iOS 8.1, things haven't been all that simpler. In fact, soon after the update, a number of users have raised concerns over inferior performance of battery and connectivity.
Recent after iOS 8.1 was rolled out, similar issues were experience on iPad Air and Mini models and Apple engineers believe that a majority of them can be dealt with simple tweaks.
Reset Option
Connectivity over WiFi and Bluetooth are probably the most common issues for iPad Mini and Air users all across the world and these can be sorted with simple reset setting. Navigate to 'Settings > General > Reset' and reset any of the options that are creating problems for you. Choose from the options like Reset Network Settings, Reset Keyboard Dictionary, Reset Home Screen Layout, and Reset Location and Privacy. These options will bring back your iPad in better state after iOS 8.1 update problems.
Clear Memory
RAM is an important thing for speed and performance. That is precisely why you need to keep this memory as clean as possible and that's where some of the third party applications can come in handy. Battery Doctor is one of such apps that clear junk files from iPad and even remove cache. It even speeds up the RAM so your tablet performs much better. Of course, you can look for similar applications that can help with the memory issue.
Manual Options
For some devices, the problem of battery drain, overheating, and random reboots is more prominent than others primarily due to inferior configuration due to older generation of these devices. In such a scenario, iOS 8.1 will only increase troubles and you should look for ways to maximize performance. Adjust screen brightness and keep the WiFi usage limited to requirement. Turn all the applications in the background off and use third part apps to keep junk files away from your iPad.
