'Pokemon Stadiu'm Wii U: Added Features, Amiibo Figures Use
As one of the most famous video game franchises worldwide, Pokemon has made its way to several of Nintendo's consoles. There have been a lot of Pokemon video game titles released both on the handheld devices and consoles.
However, there is a missing Pokemon video game, the Pokemon Stadium, that is not on Nintendo's Wii U.
According to Breathecast, there are speculations of a Pokemon Stadium game for the Wii U in progress, but it would not be released for a couple of years yet.
The speculations come from a short video that features a new Pokemon gameplay for the Wii U console, the gameplay was very similar to the previous Pokemon Stadium titles released.
The gameplay video was posted last year, but no further updates or announcements was made by Nintendo. However, the Amiibo figures announcement ignited the speculations once again for the Pokemon Stadium for the Wii U.
Very much similar to the Infinity and Skylanders figures from Disney, the Amiibo figures are Nintendo characters that would be used on the Wii U.
Rumors say that there would be Pokemon Amiibo figures to come next for the speculated Pokemon Stadium game for the Wii U, according to iDigital Times.
The same thing could be done to the Pokemon Stadium game for the Wii U. Players would be able to collect many Pokemon Amiibo figures as much as they want or how much Nintendo releases, this can be used to summon Pokemon and battle other players online or locally. A Super Training would also be a great feature to the Pokemon Stadium to ensure that every single figurine will be unique. The feature can be seen in Pokemon X and Y.
However, a report from WiiUdaily says that Junichi Masuda, one of Pokemon's series director, cites that the development team may need a much better reason to develop the Pokemon Stadium game for the Wii U. He said that when the first Pokemon Stadium was launched, it was new and provided a new experience to players that played the black and white Pokemon games. Now that the new games have a more innovative experience, it would be useless to create the console version of Pokemon Stadium in this generation.
