Kung Fu Panda 3 updates: the third installment of DreamWorks's hit animated franchise is set for a December 2015 release date, with new voice talents to look forward to.
Bryan Cranston of Breaking bad fame will be the voice of Po's father. Kung Fu Panda 3 will also feature the voices of Rebel Amy from Pitch Perfect, and Mads Mikkelsen, who plays Dr. Hannibal Lecter on the NBC TV series of the same name.
The fan favorites will all be there, too: Jack Black as Po, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Jackie Chan as Monkey, David Cross as Crane, James Hong as Mr. Ping, and Seth Rogen as Mantis.
Kung Fu Panda 3 plot rumors leaked online revealed that as Po continues to master the art of Kung Fu and noodle slurping, he will be fighting two villains in his epic journey to awesomeness: one close to home, the other a supernatural being.
Kung Fu Panda 3 will be directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and co-written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. Mexican director Guillermo del Toro is part of the team as executive director, alongside Melissa Cobb.
According to DreamWorks Animation's CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg, there will be six Kung Fu Panda films in total.
Kung Fu Panda premiered in 2008 and has since been well-received by critics and audiences worldwide.
