This fighting game is meant to be the latest addition to the beautiful work of art by the NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat. The game is currently being developed for, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platforms. The game although by a different developer, will be ported to Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It is highly anticipated because of the many additions and developments that have been included in it. It is scheduled to be released on April 14th 2015 and will be distributed through optical discs or can be downloaded.
The game like those before it focuses on a verses battle mode amongst others. In this, two players explore the NetherRealm world and fight each other switching between the many attacks incorporated in the game amongst which includes special attacks and gruesome fatalities. The game has with time gotten great addition such interaction with the environment that makes it way more interesting than those before it. The introduction of different fighting styles and the different variations featuring different moves that can be used during a match also makes the game very captivating. Along with the new additions, comes a new original and non linear storyline. This new storyline is expected to pick up from the last point of their previous game after which it would transition twenty five years into the future thus leading to the introduction of a new generation of fighters.
Apart from the great graphics that the game is expected to have, the game is also highly anticipated because of the great experience that gamers have had playing the earlier series of the franchise. The development of this game was announced in July 2013 and is expected to be released alongside the film series that is being rebooted after numerous failed attempts. The game made its first appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo where four new characters were introduced apart from the two already introduced in the trailer released on June 2, 2014.
