Well fans are eagerly waiting for the season to premiere as it exhumed a very successful season 1 as True Detective is set to make a comeback for its second season. Well to tell the truth sources revealed that this upcoming season is set to premiere in the summer of next year and it has gotten fans really curious. The net is of no help as it has been bombarded with a lot of rumors and spoilers of what fans can expect in the upcoming title, according to Fashion & Style news.
On the series official webpage, the plot of this upcoming title was revealed and it is set to be an eight episode season 2 with its logline reading, "Three police officers and a career criminal must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of murder." In a statement the creator of the series, Nic Pizzolato made a point to describe the upcoming season 2 of true detective and its main focus, "Hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system." Well, moving on to the other side, The Wrap wrote about True Detective season 2 and wrote, "{The new season} will follow the death of a corrupt city manager of a fictional California city who's found brutally murdered amid a potentially ground breaking transportation deal that would forever change freeway gridlock in the state, three law enforcement officers from different cities and branches of the government are tasked with finding out who did it. They soon discover that their investigation has a much broader and darker implication than they initially thought.
The upcoming title of True Detective is set to feature mainly in California and will exclude Los Angeles and will turn its focus on what the director called 'Some of the much lesser-known venues' of the state.
When it comes to the set cast of the upcoming season 2; Colin Farrell is already confirmed to make an appearance and will take up the role of Ray Valcoro, Vince Vaughn will play as Frank Semyon and Taylor Kitsch will play as Paul, Fashion & Style news reported.
Though the release date has been scheduled for next year, rumors claim that production set has slightly been delayed which means that the release date will have to be pushed back as well.
