'Orange is the New Black' Season 2 NETFLIX Release Date June 2014 Confirmed, Watch Teaser Here (VIDEO)

"Orange is the New Black" Season 2 on Netflix has been one of the most highly anticipated new seasons the streaming service has ever put out and now fans of the show have some answers on when they can expect the new episodes. A very short teaser trailer for Season 2 was released (watch above) and the official date for Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black" has been set for June 6, 2014.
Netflix will release all episodes for Season 2 at one time so there is no wait for fans. They experimented this format and it has been very successful for them. Netflix other hit series "House of Cards" will have Season 2 released this way as well in 2014.
"Orange is the New Black" became the latest hit series for Netflix after a surprisingly huge reaction to its first season this summer. Netflix has hit the right formula lately with the hugely successful "House of Cards" Season 1 releasing to great reviews as well. "House of Cards" Season 2 is in production right now and will be released in 2014.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 1 raised eyebrows for it's controversial yet honest portrayal of prison life for women that is not been discussed much in popular culture especially through a series.
The show is based around Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman that gets sent to prison 10 years after she got caught up in transporting drug money across international lines. She now has a fiance' Larry (Jason Biggs) and they are working through her being in prison together.
All 13 episodes of Season 1 of the netflix original series "Orange is the New Black" released exclusively on Netflix July 11, 2013.
"Orange is the New Black" is made by 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan, and is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of a year spent in prison.
