'Star Wars Episode VII' Details Revealed; Project Completed In Three Weeks
The "Star Wars" saga is now complete since J.J. Abrams' work will be done in three weeks time, especially the principal photography of the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII".
In 2005, the "Star Wars" saga looked like it's over with the release of Twentieth Century Fox and Lucas Film's "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith". This, back then, completed the trilogy and once again tied back the story to the series' first film. Everybody thought it was the end!
Then, Disney came along. In 2012, Disney bought Lucas Film for $4.05, and with this transaction came the news that they'll be commencing the production of a new "Star Wars" trilogy. This, definitely, will keep the story going for the years to come.
On May 16, 2014, the principal photography for "Star Wars: Episode VII" started, making it the very first Star Wars movie to be released in theaters after the "Revenge of the Sith". While it has not been stated officially what's being shot and where, the production's clapper board have suggested that the crew and cast are doing the project in the deserts of Abu Dhabi.
Other rumors have also suggested that a new Tatooine was built there; although the Variety has revealed that most of the movie's scenes are to be shot in the Pinewood Studios in England.
The Star Wars 7 News confirms the detail that the storyline of "Star Wars: Episode VII" will be 30 years after the famous Battle of Endor as well as those important events featured in the "Return of the Jedi."
This has made sense given the rumors that Abram wanted its plot to revolve around Han, Leia, and Luke. To be able to achieve this goal in Episode VII, they will have to consider the age of all actual actors. Apparently, this is what the production is doing.
J.J. Abrams, who initially declined the project, isn't only the director. He is a co-writer, as well. Abrams has had numerous experienced in science-fiction with both "Star Trek Movies" and "Super 8" as two of his masterpieces, not to mention his being a lifelong fan of "Star Wars". The director will be working closely with screenwriter Michael Arndt, who was amongst the first few people to be hired for the movie.
