A report from Entertainment Weekly shows that they had an exclusive interview with the executive producer Gale Ann Hurd who spilled some information about the upcoming season. During the interview she said, "The show has spent a lot of time in primarily rural settings. But you're never going to find the cure of the zombie apocalypse in the sticks. Now with them embarking on a mission, they have to re-enter what we call the city of the dead, there are many cities of the dead that they'll have to encounter in order to complete their mission. So not only does it make it more difficult because the number of walkers, but also there are more hiding places in which their human antagonists can lurk. So, however stiff and difficult the stakes have been up until this season, now they've been raised even further."
When asked about Glenn and Maggie's romance, she said, "There's always love within the zombie apocalypse. In conditions like that is where people are thrown together and they live for a moment... Since Maggie and Glenn have just been essentially reunited, I think that's going to be a very key component for the season, because they know what it is like to be separated... There's a sacrifice that is certainly the equal to anything we've seen in the previous 4 seasons. But also hope, to the degree we've never seen before."
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly has been trying to get some more spoilers for the fans and they got to interview Emily Kinney who takes the role of Beth Greene. However, she did not give a lot of information about the upcoming season. For example when asked about when Dalton declared Beth's mystery location, she said, "I can't really tell you too much about where Beth is. You'd have watch and find out."
