We have the latest for you on the release date, news and rumors of the novel "Winds of Winter". 'A Song of Ice and Fire', the series title that gave birth to George R. R. Martin 7 sequence books is soon set to release the awaited 'Winds of Winter'. According to rumors the author, George R. R. Martin announced that the book will be unveiled at the end of The Game of Thrones season 5 series on HBO. This book will be his Sixth installment in the series 'A song of Ice and Fire'.

"Game of Thrones fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. In a statement, George R. R. Martin, author said "I am happy to announce that Winds of Winter will be released at the conclusion of this season of Game of Thrones." The Winds of Winter is a novel by Martin that was originally intended to be the final installment of A Song of Ice and Fire. He Added, "I actually finished the book three years ago, around the same time as A Dance with Dragons, but my publisher wanted to see if Game of Thrones the TV show really took off in Popularity before releasing it so we could really capitalize on that."

Jane Johnson, Martin's UK publisher also commented on the site and said, "As for the release date, the book will not be published until the year 2015."

This claim is indeed valid as when one scrolls down to Johnson's twitter handle account you will see her post claiming the book is set to be published in the year 2015. But Johnson retracted the claim when confronted but the words she used left more questions than answers in regards to the claims. She said, "Not a 2015 release, no change there as far as I'm aware.
