Nicolas Cage Headlines Sinister Biblical Horror "The Carpenter’s Son"

Magnolia Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for The Carpenter's Son, a provocative new biblical horror film written and directed by Lotfy Nathan and starring Nicolas Cage, FKA Twigs, and Noah Jupe. The film is set to arrive in theaters in Fall 2025. Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQwRxiB0S58.
Set in Roman Egypt, the film follows a hidden family whose young son begins to reveal extraordinary powers after a mysterious encounter with another child. Inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas, The Carpenter's Son reimagines the unrecorded years of Jesus' childhood as a supernatural thriller exploring fear, faith, and destiny.
The cast is led by Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage as the Carpenter (Joseph), with globally renowned artist FKA Twigs as the Mother (Mary), and rising star Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) as the Boy. Souheila Yacoub also joins the ensemble. Lotfy Nathan, known for his acclaimed debut Harka, directs from his own screenplay.
Filmed on location in Greece beginning in September 2024, The Carpenter's Son is produced in partnership with Cinenovo and will be distributed in the U.S. by Magnolia Pictures and in France by Le Pacte.
With its unsettling premise and daring vision, the film is expected to spark global conversation as one of the most controversial depictions of Jesus ever brought to the screen.
