Elementary season 3 spoilers: Raza Jaffrey plays new role in series as boyfriend of Sherlock's Love interest Joan
According to TV Line the third installment of Elementary season 3 is set to premiere in the fall on October 30th of this year. Forget the days when people dismissed the show as just another detective show, the show has been able to hold its own over the past two years with ease it seems. The plot details for the season 2 finale include our Sherlock involving himself with MI6. Watson also moves out of Holmes's pad while Mycroft also fakes his own death.
When we come back for the 3rd installment Sherlock will be trying to get into Joan's good graces after spending a year away in London. This will imply a year long jump at the time of the premiere. Similarly, according to TV Line, the title of the premiere will be 'Enough nemesis to go around'. This will feature Watson going head to head with Allison who is a woman that became a drug kingpin after inheriting the empire from her dead husband, but she is not to be underestimated. This is a welcome change especially after the story has seemingly been focused on Sherlock and his exploits in the past. There are also casting changes for the new season.
The new season will see the introduction of Raza Jaffrey who will play Andrew as a boyfriend of Joan. This is the same Joan whom Sherlock wants to get in good graces with. Fans have been demanding an onscreen romance from the two but show runner Rob Doherty promises that the two will remain platonic friends without benefits. You can already tell were this is going. Andrew will illustrate the life of normalcy and represent everything stable in contrast to Sherlock's unique and strange lifestyle of which she does know half of. According to reports, Sherlock and Andrew are supposed to meet in the season 3 opener which will be the time that he tries to get back on Joan's good side after spending almost a year in London.
