Michael Jackson's Camp to Release Eight More albums After 'Xscape'
It sounds like for better or worse, fans of Michael Jackson will have years of new music ahead to look forward to. There are talks of as many as eight more posthumous Michael Jackson albums could be released following the success of Xscape earlier this year which led to the hit single "Love Never Felt So Good" featuring Justin Timberlake.
Jackson was known for recording a many of different songs for each of his studio albums that never made the final cut and it is believe that there is a wealth of material in the vaults and Rolling Stone reports that "eight more albums culled from outtakes and repackaged material could be released".
"We got more surprises coming," says producer Rodney Jerkins, who produced on Xscape with Timbaland and Stargate. "I'm sure there are a few more great things out there," says Jerkins, "and, hopefully, we'll all have a chance to hear them."
Xscape became Michael Jackson's 10th Official No. 1 album in the UK upon its release last month but did not reach No. 1 in America behind The Black Keys and their album Turn Blue.
They are finding other ways of keeping Michael going outside of just records as well, with a hologram being made of MJ that was used at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas in May. They are considering doing a full show with the hologram. Some thought it was a tech marvel while many others thought it was just plain creepy and not something that Michael himself would be proud of.
