Jordan Feliz Reveals Details About His Upcoming Album
Dove Award winning artist, Jordan Feliz has revealed that he will be releasing his sophomore album. The upcoming album entitled Future will drop on Mardh 23rd. The singer-songwriter has also revealed the album cover below:
"I've had a lot of people asking why the record is called Future. It's because in my life and a lot of the communities around me, a lot of the conversations have been about how, as a human race, we're all about planning and about making our lives seem perfect and all these things about what our future holds. It's where a lot of fear and stress and anxiety comes from in our lives because, as believers, our future is the inheritance of God. He holds our future every single day in His hands and that's something that was a huge part of where I've been in this last year of making this record. It feels really close to home to write these songs," Jordan shared in an exclusive cover reveal video with CCM Magazine.
"I'm so excited for you guys to hear these songs, to live with them, to listen to them. I hope that the Lord is able to work in your lives in a big way with these songs and that you're able to just have fun with them." Future will be available for pre-order beginning 2018.
Feliz has rapidly become one of Christian music's major artists within a year of releasing his first EP, Beloved, for Centricity Music in late 2015. The success of his first single," The River," led to his first Dove Award, with Feliz winning New Artist of the Year in 2016, along with nominations for Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for "The River." The single became a No. 1 single on several Billboard charts for multiple weeks. Feliz's second album, The River, was released in April 2016, debuting at No. 4 on Billboard's Christian Albums chart.
The project received strong reviews from such outlets as New Release Today, "...immense growth and innovative talent of a surprising newcomer, CBN.com, "...marking his mark in Christian music," and JesusFreakHideout.com, "an artist to keep an eye on if he keeps making music of this caliber." Listed by Nashville Lifestyles Magazine in the section "Ones To Watch" in 2017, Feliz received his second No. 1 single with "Never Too Far Gone." His third single "Beloved" is currently Top 15 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart.
