LoveCollide To Release "Resonate - A Ripple To A Wave" April 29
Christian pop/rock duo LoveCollide, sisters Lauren and Brooke DeLeary, are releasing their sophomore project,RESONATE, which includes 2 separate CD releases. The first CD "RESONATE - A Ripple To A Wave" is set to release April 29th. A CD release listening party will take place in Nashville TN at Yackland Studio April 27th.
"The mission with our music has always been to awaken a movement and to ignite a wildfire passion for Jesus in the hearts of this generation and those to come. We believe our life is a ministry and our music is simply the vehicle God is using for His Kingdom. RESONATE is reflective of the spectrum of our musical style. We absolutely love to worship, but growing up with musical inspirations like Skillet and Switchfoot, we also really love to rock. At a festival this past summer, we played a couple hours before Switchfoot and we received the greatest compliment of our career. When Jon Foreman stepped off the stage, he turned to us and said , 'You sounded great out there!' He may or may not remember, but we will never forget. With RESONATE, we were able to incorporate the worship, pop and rock sides of us in this project and remain true to our signature LoveCollide sound. At a college campus recently, a concert attendee said, 'I have never heard worship with such a fresh, cool new vibe. We need more music like this!'
We had so many songs we wanted to include in this project that it was getting difficult to narrow down our selection. After much prayer and reflection, we decided to make this project a journey for our fans and listeners; a lifestyle to embrace, rather than just a single CD release. We decided to split the full project into two separate 8 song CDs. They will be 6 months apart with music videos and devotionals for each song released every month before the release of the second CD, RESONATE: A Spark into a Flame next fall. Our hope is that the theme to "resonate" God in every area of our life will marinate with our listeners as we dive into the reasons behind each song selection and encourage others to be the drop that begins the ripple turning into a wave of revival." We were made to reflect His glory and praise Him. That is what the title song "Resonate" is about. Praying that we will resonate His love and that it will reverberate into the lives of others. The chorus says "A ripple to a wave, a spark into a flame, a rock into an avalanche already on the way". We fully believe revival is on the way. We see it in all corners of the nation as we tour.
We recognize that every person is in a different place in their walk, and we want to be all things for all people. We love studying King David. He was a 'man after God's own heart'. His love for God never wavered, yet he had moments of complete faith and devotion but also moments of doubt and struggle. We always want to be authentic and not sugar coat the life we experience in Him. We don't have perfect faith, because we are imperfect people. If we are honest at times we struggle, at times we doubt and need Him to break through our lack of faith. He is always the answer though and He is always the one to pull us through. That is what the song "Break Through" is about. His grace is always sufficient and, with each break through He draws us closer to His heart. "Fox" is taken from the song of Solomon when we are warned about not letting the fox creep in. If we are not careful to guard our first love, the little things can creep in and distract, or steel joy and peace. You can expect some amazing horns on this track and on one of the tracks in the fall release. David always ended his Psalm with Hope because God is always faithful. This album ends the same way. "Yahweh" is the last track of the album. There is so much power in the name of God. Yahweh is one of our favorite names for God. It is the full essence of who God is. We are calling on him to invade each heart, each city, each state, and each nation until His presence fills the entire earth. We want more of Him and for Him to show us His glory. Some songs are simply written by Holy Spirit and and that was the case with this song. We have seen God move so powerfully during this song and we pray God continues to use it and the entire album to reach people for His glory!"
Lauren and Brooke DeLeary co-wrote all the songs for their self-titled debut album to rave industry reviews in April 2014 and a Christmas EP this past November. For the RESONATE project, Provident Music Group, a division of Sony Music Entertainment focusing primarily on Christian music in Franklin, Tennessee pitched 13 songs to LoveCollide in hopes they would cut a couple songs on this new project. LoveCollide chose the song two songs. "Follow" and "Storms." "Follow," written by grammy award winning writers, Seth Mosley, Francesca Battistelli, and Mia Fieldes, is the second track on the project. "We loved the question that asks 'Have you ever had a chance to stand out, but instead faded in the crowd?' and if we are honest most all of us would say, 'I have'. Yet the anthem resounds that we make the choice to live for more and we choose to follow Jesus with no turning back. "Storms" written by Mia Fieldes, Jordan Sapp and Dave Wyatt will have a music video. It was an honor to have Provident pitch so many songs to us and trust that we would do the songs the justice they deserve" said Lauren DeLeary.
Both DeLeary girls are featured in the movie "God's Not Dead 2" which released in 2,475 theaters across the nation earlier this month. Lauren and Brooke of LoveCollide are seen throughout the movie in all classroom and picketing scenes. Brooke, Lauren and lead actress Hayley Orrantia playing the role of Brooke Thawley, are the only 3 individuals on microphones in movie attendees favorite scene of students serenading teacher Grace Wesley played by Melissa Joan Hart. Brooke DeLeary starts the famous hymn, "How Great Thou Art," and fellow students join in.
