Shine Bright Baby Turns to Fans to Replace Van

BEC Recording artist Shine Bright Baby is asking fans to help them buy a van. Via the Indiegogo platform, Shine Bright Baby is looking to raise $20,000 between now and Easter Sunday for a van so that they can travel and bring their music to fans. They're offering a bunch of incentives to those who give, including personalized letters, signed copies of their current record, and special online acoustic shows and even a special Nashville weekend.
This is what the band has to say about the appeal: "Touring is an expensive but necessary endeavor for any serious musical act. In the beginning, we borrowed my parents awesome Astro van with a super small trailer to get to shows. It was cramped and ridiculous looking but we made lots of good memories those years traveling the US. In 2012, we found a great deal on a used 15 passenger van and bought it. We finally had our first band owned touring vehicle! By the end of the year we had raised enough money through our first successful crowd funding for a much needed new trailer. This set up served us well (and many miles) until last February when we got into a weather related accident in northern Minnesota totaling our beloved trailer. With your generous donations, we were able to purchase a new one several months later and hardly missed a beat.
As you can see, this band has never been just been about us. As uncool as van and trailers are, you guys have always understood how vital they are to our existence as a band. It's what gets us your city, your church, your community. There are so many incredible people we have met and not touring is simply not an option for us. Now we are looking at our trusty van that we love (most of the time) with almost 300,000 miles and the touring schedule we are lining up for 2015. 2014 this band played more shows and covered more miles then we ever had before - it was incredible!
Very soon we are releasing new music. We are beyond thrilled to share them with because we feel like it's the best work we have ever done. We want to tour as much as we can to share these new songs and their stories with with both old and new fans. We spend more hours on the road then anything else, and of course, more money in fuel then anything else. Help keep our band on the road by donating so we can offset the cost of newer vehicle. We have put together some creative incentives if you choose to back this campaign - please take the time to check them out cause every dollar counts."
