"Mario Kart 8 DLC": Brand New Vehicles, Exciting Features, Top 10 Characters Revealed
"Mario Kart" is continuously evolving. Recently, Nintendo has announced Mario Kart 8's Mercedes-Bez DLC and it has been available in the United Kingdom since August 27, 2014.
The add-on, in fact, contains three cars - the Mercedes-Benz GLA, the 1950s 300 SL Roadster, and then the 1930s Silver Arrow. These karts are customizable too with the ability to change the wheels and other parts.
In addition, Nintendo is also working on some fan requests to the game, like the preference to display the course maps on the screen. The game will also feature a new stats page that will show players the total number of coins gathered, the online win-loss record, and the player's favorite racer. This feature is now more visual to the player and more personalized.
One good news for players is that "Mario Kart 8" game will save their most recent kart settings in between games or sessions. It also works even the system is powered down. This means that players will no longer need to set up the racer every time the game is loaded.
Another new feature is that the menu options for "Next Race" as well as "Watch Highlight Reel" will be exchanged. In fact, this is a much requested change by fans. Players will now be able to modify options for other user's focused reels when watching various characters or events. Another plus is the enhancement in the connection stability in online gaming for a better karting experience.
Meanwhile, a tweet from Nintendo of America says that the B dasher kart is back in Mario Kart 8 and is in the first DLC pack. It is probable that the tweet is referring to the Legend of Zelda themed DLC, which will be launched in another pack in November 2014. The new pack will include three new characters - Link, Tanooki Mario, and Cat Peach - plus eight additional race tracks together with four new vehicles. It will cost $8.
Nintendo also held a Mercedes Cup tournament last August 27 and September 23 for those players who are interested to join and play using the vehicle DLC. More than that, free access and details was seen in the game's tournament menu. Watch the video.
The recently released "Super Smash Bros" integrated various characters from Nintendo into a single game. Operationrainfall presented the top 10 most wanted Mario Kart 8 DLC characters. Is "Mario Kart 8" going to follow the same path?
