Canon EOS 7D MKII Reviews and Updates: Device Features Three New Lenses and Two DIGIC 6 Processors Providing Excellent Shooting Speeds

The Canon 7D Mark II picks up where the original left off, and benefits from the latest and greatest Canon developments as yet. This includes the groundbreaking dual pixel AF from last year's EOS 70D. This is built around a 22.2-megapixel APS-C sensor. The 7 D Mark II model should finally give the Canon's crop sensor lineup a proper and modern flagship. As it is wrapped in Magnesium alloy,  the 7D Mark II features full weather sealing that Canon says  that  the device is even mo re resistant to dust and moisture than it was before. The company y is heavily backing the durability of the Mark II with an estimated shutter life of about 150,000-200,000 actuations.

There is a new mirror mechanism which was designed to reduce the mirror slap in continuous shooting.  There are Dual DIGIC 6 image processors which help boost the continuous shooting all the way to a max rate of about 10 frames per second. The Canon EOS 7D MKII looks and feels like the original Canon 7D camera. Those who are looking for flashy transfers may be disappointed because things that are now considered standard in cheaper cameras are missing from the Canon EOS 7D MKII. For example there is no Wi-Fi or NFC. You can get wireless transfers but the Wi-Fi module costs $ 600 and that is madness.

On the bright side, the device comes available with GPS and an intervalometer for time lapse shooting, but it is oddly outdated in some respects for a brand new camera. Contrary to previous thought, the camera also does not have touch screen capabilities and the rear 3-inch 1040k-dot display does not tilt. There are important changes under the hood though. For one, the Canon EOS 7D MKII utilizing two DIGIC 6 processors, giving it excellent shooting speeds. The device can also shoot in full resolution at 10fps. The ISO performance has also been improved. The native range is about 100-16000, where the first canon 7D topped out at ISO 6400.
