The Blacklist' Season 2 Premiere Review: Expect the Expected
This is a series having a compound mythodology and obscure storyline that involves two of their primary characters. The Blacklist definitely favors formula over anything.
So, in the Season 2 premiere of The Balcklist, it moves away from the true motives of Raymond "Red" Reddington and towards getting things at the FBI back in order, in this way, names can be checked in the balcklist.
The Blacklist shows a remarkable flexibility when it comes to getting back the kind of stasis where in the characters can weave an alarming rate. For the fans, this means that the show has a snappy opening in which Spader apparently turn into unfavorable odds agains Reddington. Obviously, Spader is skillful in commanding as Reddington. However, even if there is no reason why, the show still continue to make him a side dish rather than the show's main course. It is also unclear how long will Berlin remain in Red's side, but one hopes it will just be a while.
Same thing with Mary-Louise Parker, who turns out as Red's wife. Although you know nothing about Naomi Highland, other than she likes to be friendly, what she didi to Berlin is another way to insulate the question which the show is not ready to answer. By giving Elizabeth and Red the goal to find Naomi, The Blacklist places everything on the back burner.
Overall, it was such a mechanical opening for the Season 2 of The Blacklist. In the end, the show is like being that office buzz, the work is stable and there is actually no ending. You can always expect the expected things will happen.
